GOOD MORNING GOWM!

Luke 22:41-44 (amplified)

41 And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw and knelt down and prayed,42 Saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done.43 And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven, strengthening Him in spirit.44 And being in an agony [of mind], He prayed [all the] more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground.

SURRENDER YOUR WILL TO GOD!

Many times we want to do our own thing or even do things we think is the will of God. We do things because it makes us feel good, look good, act good, speak good. “I’m going to put this on because I just feel so good (sexy) in it.” “I’ll say this instead of that because it sounds better.” “He makes me feel so good therefore He must be the one.” We say and do all things to make us feel good. We spend so much time satisfying the flesh and so little time doing what’s best for our spirit. Our own will is the most important, number one thing on our life agenda. Then we wonder why we aren’t where we are suppose to be and doing what we are destined to do. WE NEED TO SURRENDER OUR WILL TO GOD! Have you ever looked in the word of God to see if you should really be wearing those tight jeans, that low cut dress, that see through blouse? Many of us think it doesn’t mention anything in the word about these things. But when we study the word daily, meditating on it day and night, you will discover it really does talk about those things. I believe some of us are afraid to challenge themselves in the word because they don’t want to see that the way they are living is contrary to the word of God. We were all born with a sense of Godliness. How you ask, because although we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity, we were still made according to the image and likeness of God. It was the breath of God that gave us life from the very beginning. We cannot forget that. This is why the bible says we are in the world, but not of the world. So why do we try to be like the world with the way we dress, talk, act, and feel? I challenge you to surrender your will and pick up God’s will, after all Jesus did it. Do you think once Jesus came as a man here on earth, knowing what He was faced with, was it His will to suffer the cross and die? Looking at our scripture, NO! Jesus said Father please take this assignment from me, it hurts so bad! His flesh was tired of people thinking He was crazy, talking bad about Him, and just not feeling good. His mind started thinking about all the agony He was faced with and at that very moment He cried out to His Father. But then He surrendered His will to His Father. “Not my will but Yours be done.” And the Father sent an angel to go and strengthen Him in spirit. The more we allow our spirit to submit, the stronger we become. The bible says, His mind (his will) was in agony, but He allowed His Spirit to take charge and He prayed more earnestly and intently. Until His sweat became like great clots of blood. WOW! His mind (his will) was being crucified at that very moment. Jesus knew that in order for His body to be crucified on the cross, He had to deal with His mind (his will). Before we can see physical changes in our lives we must surrender our will to God!

NEVERTHELESS, NOT MY WILL, BUT THINE WILL BE DONE!

GOOD MORNING GOWM!

Deuteronomy 28:1-2&15 (amplified)

1 If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.

15 But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you this day, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you:

I KNOW I'M BLESSED; I AM BLESSED OF GOD...OR ARE YOU?

I'm blessed, God is blessing me, these and many other sayings we like to say about the blessings of God on our lives. But have we stopped to see are we really blessed or is it the grace of God covering us. Have you ever notice that some of the same things we say are blessings, sinners have them or are doing them also? So how can I be sure that I’m blessed? Looking at our scripture today, it tells us that if we listen diligently to God and keep ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS, then blessings shall come upon us and overtake us. Have you ever been overtaken by a blessing? This means it just comes on suddenly…HALLELUJAH GLORY TO GOD! That says something right there, you are not expecting it, it just comes! You didn’t work for it, it just comes! GLORY! NOW THAT’S A BLESSING! Think about the things that just happened, that just came because of your obedience to God. Those are your blessings according to the word. However we can’t just look at one side. Unfortunately there are curses when we do not heed to the voice of God and keep ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS. And the word says these curses can overtake us as well. We must believe the whole word of God and not take what we want and leave the rest. The word is right and true...AMEN. I encourage you to read the whole chapter of Deuteronomy 28 and ask yourself are you truly blessed, challenge yourself with the word of God and watch blessings OVERTAKE YOU! PRAISE GOD!

OBEDIENCE BRINGS BLESSINGS; DISOBEDIENCE BRINGS CURSES!

GOOD MORNING GOWM!

Colossians 3:1-4 (amplified)
1 If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.

THIS IS MY LIFE, OR IS IT?
Many of us continue to look for what to do with our life. We look in books, listen to our favorite speakers, seek a psychologist, and even discuss with our friends. Although these are not bad things, they are not the right way to seek what to do with your life. If we say we are born again believers, then we are risen with Christ into a new life. A life that doesn't belong to us but to the one who purchased it, Jesus Christ. When looking for what to do next with your life, look to Jesus. Stop looking at things here on earth (your circumstances). Yes your circumstances can impact things but it doesn't dictate your life. Christ is more than your savior, He is Lord of all! It's not our life, we have died. We have given up our ghost and picked up the Holy Ghost. When Christ is your life, look to Him for the answers. Your life is hidden in Him and when He appears, you appear and will glory in Him.

MY LIFE BELONGS TO CHRIST, IT IS NOT MINE. I HAVE DIED WITH HIM AND AM RISEN IN HIM!

Always a blessing,

GOOD MORNING GOWM!

Ephesians 2:8-10 (amplified)

8 For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;
9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]
10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

You have been saved by grace, the grace of the Almighty God! There is nothing you can or have done that makes you saved. It is by grace alone! Stop trying to live right and LIVE RIGHT! Stop trying to stop cursing and STOP CURSING! Stop trying to stop having sex without marriage and STOP HAVING SEX WITHOUT MARRIAGE! Stop trying to stop talking about your sister/brother and STOP TALKING ABOUT YOUR SISTER/BROTHER! Stop trying to do all the right things and DO WHAT IS RIGHT! How can you know what is right you ask? God is right, His Word is right, and His Spirit is right. READ THE WORD and find out what is right. Apply the word in EVERYTHING YOU DO and you can't go wrong. If you don't read God's Word guess what, you don't have faith! Faith comes by hearing the word of God. If you don't have faith guess what, you can't receive grace from God. If you don't have the grace of God guess what, YOU ARE NOT SAVED!
FOR IT IS BY FREE GRACE FROM GOD THAT YOU ARE SAVED THROUGH FAITH!

ALWAYS A BLESSING!

Todays Word:GOD WILL WIN THE BATTLE!

Good Morning GOWM!
Todays Word: GOD WILL WIN THE BATTLE
This Morning Scripture: Psalm 68:1-8
God is [already] beginning to arise, and His enemies to scatter; let them also who hate Him flee before Him! As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish before the presence of God. But let the [uncompromisingly] righteous be glad; let them be in high spirits and glory before God, yes, let them [jubilantly] rejoice! Sing to God, sing praises to His name, cast up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts—His name is the Lord—be in high spirits and glory before Him! A father of the fatherless and a judge and protector of the widows is God in His holy habitation. God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. O God, when You went forth before Your people, when You marched through the wilderness—Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!— The earth trembled, the heavens also poured down [rain] at the presence of God; yonder Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

Always A Blessing,

TODAYS WORD: SELF-CONTROL

This Morning Scripture: 1 Peter 1:13-16 (amp version)

"So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed. [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel]. But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living. For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy."

Always A Blessings,

Lady B
